  1. My first was a pugeot 106 1.1 caost me like £1400 i think that was when i as 17 and it was a pile of dog %£%$

  2. I still have a 18-year GTD and it’s indestructible. No rust, all the electrics (they’re not many, you know) work, extremely good handling, excellent mileage. If someone’s looking for an extremely tough-low-mantenience bargain car, old Golfs and Jettas do a great job.

  3. i bought that capri last year what a brilliant video

  4. Buying an old car?

Buy something from Germany or from Japan.
    Best reliability.

  5. My first car was a 1969 Landrover Series 2a which I used for a month then bought myself a Land Rover Defender.. I am 18 in August and passed my test last November :) All bought and insured by my self!

  6. My first car was a 1987 Audi 5000 S also known as the Audi 100. I paid 2000 dollars for it and it had 50 thousand miles on it. Not to mention it was also fully loaded. After I got it, I found the pay stub from the original owner under the seat. That particular car cost them around 37,000 bucks brand new in 1987. It also had the unbeatable 2.3L 5 cylinder. Awesome car.

  7. Ive got a 2.8L V6 Capri and goes like hot fudge! sounds lush and is most easiest car to maintain, nothing comes close like driving the Capri

  8. My first car : 1964 Ford Cortina :P

  9. I passed my test in ‘98 & my 2nd car was a Silver ‘84 Capri 1.6 Lazer bought for £450 but cost £890 to insure 3rd party:-0 and they didn’t even know about the extras I tuned it with either:-S was one of the best fanny magnets I’ve ever driven though, brilliant cars, especially when its a rainy day:-) anyone who has owned a Capri will understand the fun you can have on wet roads with a it:-)

  10. more fun with a v6 manual and wet road!

  11. my first motor 5 years ago, mk2 fiesta £200. Thanks mum,

wouldnt mind a tail happy Brooklands now.

  12. my parents didnt buy me a car~~~ they jst let me drive their car

  13. It turns out my MK3 is not 84 its 78 so she must be an early one.

  14. my first car… fiat punto :(

  15. stipi de figa

  16. To be honest, I would probably recommend getting an old Alfa Romeo Alfetta GTV instead of an old Ford Capri; the Alfetta GTV is a superior car in most respects:suspension is better, engine is more powerful, handling is better, and looks are better :) (They are not as easy to find as Capris, alas :( )

  17. The trouble is though the insurance for a Mk II Golf GTi for a 17/18 year old will be soo high! I got a quote for £3500!!

  18. yea i kind of think it was rich parents buying there kids cars… my 19 year old son in law was quoted £4150 third party for a golf gti 1.8 so stuck with his cheap to insure astra 1.4 at a mere £1483 third party fire and theft, kept in a garage, cobra alarm, cars worth £400……

  19. im a lot older than you i expect i had a capri mk1 3000gt back in 1981 when i was 23 years old and it was a beast but did about 16-17mpg around town and 25mpg on a good run….

  20. yeh there’s a reason they aren’t as easy to find as a Capri, they all broke down and went rusty as all Alfa’s generally do, the Capri will always be one of the best cars ever made…. End of story!

  21. My first car citroen ds 2.1. rustbucket, paid it all myself but i’m restoring it together with my dad. almost done now, should be planned a roadtrip to budapest this summer!

  22. my first………dacia1310 :(

  23. I got a mk2 gti as my first car, I love it, unfortunatly I had an accident(not my fault).

  24. They conveniently neglected to mention that insurance for a new driver on a Golf GTI would cost more than the car.

  25. I would take an Opel Astra F GSi 2.0 16V model :)
